Exposition collective en Californie/ Group Show in California

ArtHatch and Distinction Gallery are excited to present a group exhibition curated by June Leeloo entitled “A Few Small Nips”, a tribute to Frida Kahlo. All artwork will be inspired by or pay tribute to the late Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 6-10pm with Live Music. Local artists within the ArtHatch building will have their studios open to the public as well. Complimentary Stone beer and wine will be served to guests.

Exposition au Vigan

Frida

J' ai peinte cette toile pour l'exposition collective à laquelle j'ai été invitée à participer aux US, et dont le thème est justement Frida.
Elle sera exposée à la Distinction Gallery en Californie parmi mille et une merveilles crées par des artistes prestigieux et talentueux, certains dont je suis le travail depuis des années.
Cette peinture s'appelle "Les fenêtres de l'âme". Elle fait référence à la citation de Shakespear " les yeux sont les fenêtres de l'âme".
J'ai choisi de peindre ce que les peintures de Frida représentent pour moi, de petits aperçus de son âme.

A Few Small Nips: A Tribute to Frida Kahlo,
held by The Distinction Gallery in California.

I'm so excited by this cause it inclued lots of amazing artists. I've worked like a mad woman these past 10 days to finish it on time.

Now, about the painting, It's called "Windows to the soul". In reference to Shakespeare's "eyes are a window to the soul".
I choose to paint what Frida's paintings represent for me : glimpses of her soul.
